All motor 351w! Otherwise I'd imagine the 393 would make a good track motor

Two lines of thinking. Either can make 500whp. I would do the all motor build just for simplicity, and clear engine bay. I have a 354ci now with 8.5:1 comp put down 430whp with shorty headers and 2 1/2 exhaust, threw a slipping converter. Not to mention a custom blower cam. I'd bet now that I got a new verter with long tubes, and 3" exhaust. It puts down about 50whp more. I also made 623hp on a motor dyno with a 10:1 401ci. both on 91 pump gas. What ever you do. Buy the best heads you can afford. That will go a long way in making power.

I'd vote for the all motor setup.

Unless that is the only head you have. I would pass. It's going to need a bigger head. At least a 185. imho It's still to small for a 10:1.
