SO THE OTHER DAY I WAS CHANGING MY OIL , AND I NOTICE WHEN I TOOK THE FILTER OFF THE SPINDLE..IT WAS HITTING THE K-MEMBER. AND IT WOULD NOT COME OUT LAST TIME THIS DIDNT HAPPEN. I HAVE A TERMI MOTOR WITH A TUBULAR K MEMBER. IM SO LOST. I TRIED TO CROSS-REFFERENCE THE FILTER TO FIND A SMALLER ONE BUT NO LUCK. ANY IDEAS??? OTHER THAN LOSING THE MOTOR MOUNTS AND LIFT THE MOTOR EVER SINGLE TIME!

Yep you'll need an oil filter relocation kit like this.
You can get it through MM

I agree. Engine mounts probably is the case. However I had a '89 Mustang a while back when my parents had a Taurus. The filter for the Taurus had the same thread count and size and the oil ring was exactly the same. The body though was a bit smaller. Now I don't recommend this for a perm fix, but if you need to get a temp filter on, cut that one in half with a hack saw and then pick one up for a Taurus. The one for the 3.8l v6 engine should fit in.

The FL 300 is the short version of the FL 1 filter. Used on the the turbo 2.3 with an oil cooler adapter. The Motorcraft one may be hard to find but other brands not so bad.

I would also check the motor mounts but I would get the MM oil filter relocation kit anyways. Makes oil changes a lot easier.
