In a street car you want make sure to keep the A/R ratio below .96 anything above and you will experience major turbo lag.

I might get it but I am looking into a custom turbo right now, maybe a 91mm turbo. Its a good 88mm turbo for the street and can hit 1000hp without pushing it too hard with a 302 based motor, a 76mm turbo can get you to a 1000hp also but you will have to push it hard and will need to worry about running Meth injection or an air to water intercooler to keep air temps down, that's why I sold my 76mm turbo. Not much difference than a 76mm, it's a T-4 flange with a .96 A/R

Ok..what about the gtk 850 or 1000 turbo? Is that any good? And how much better is the ball bearing turbo vs the pt8847? [ March 20, 2012, 04:13 PM: Message edited by: 93ex chp ]

I would not recommend a turbonetics product. Seen too many failures. I would highly recommend a precision turbo or borg warner turbo. look into the Precision CEA 7175. Been proven to 1000whp and will spool super fast on a v8.
