iam getting irratated with this coolant leaking. it stop for awhile but its back. the problem is coolant sitting behind the water pump and on top of the timing chain cover. what i have done so far is i replaced the upper and lower manifold gaskets i put a new thermostat housing ( the neck) and a new gasket. i put new hoses tightened the water pump bolts and it stop leaking for a few months but its back now. what the hell can this be i dont get it the timing chain cover could that be it... i need this problem fixed i hate leaks.

Change the timing cover and all gaskets. More than likely, it's leaking at the block surface.

mine had a really small leak from the timing cover itself, when I had taken it apart I found the water passages for the waterpump in the timing cover had become pitted really badly and made the gasket fail, I had to buy a new timing cover.

Yes, nothing but the bypass hoses need to come off the intake.
