Stay far away from the pipes 3 piece x-pipes, they fit like shit. It almost seems like one of the pieces is too short.

xpipe sounds good on my trickflow h/c/i procharged 5.0, it has equal length dynomax shorty's, bbk x-pipe, and dynomax superturbo 2.5" catback, hard to make that motor sound bad though I imagine hahaha.
on the other hand, an o/r xpipe with dynomax catback sounded like wet ass on my dohc `97 fobra, sticking with my h-pipe on that car from now on. Sounded cool at idle and WOT, but part throttle through 2k-3k it sounded like something was broken...

I read somwhere that theirs actually a performance difference for the H as well as the X pipe. Its got something to do with back pressure scavenging. It said that X pipe is actually for low end torque. And H pipe for high end torque.

I think its the other way around but not 100% sure [/ H pipe: The more back pressure the more low end power but mpg suffers.
X pipe: the less back pressure you lose low end power but gain top end also mpg suffers.
High flow catted X or H pipe: gain a little top end and still have some low end, mpg dose not suffer and you still stay legal. + win

X-pipes are best with flow through type mufflers (Borla, Bassani, Magnaflow, etc). H-pipes are best with chambered mufflers (Flowmaster). The power difference between these matched pairs are negligible on street driven cars.
