Author Topic: Experts wisdom needed on automatic shifter issues 89TRUNK ¯ Member # 2506 posted                              My gf car is having some shifter issues. The car is a 2002 mustang and she can't shift it out of Park when it is turned on. You have to put it on the on position on the ignition then start it in neutral, then go to the gear you choose. So the shifter can not be moved from the Park position if it is turned on.
