Those numbers look like supra dyno's LOL.
You have an A1000 fuel pump? Those things are only rated to 800 FI. I would think you'd run out of pump before then. I know that when I had that pump I could only do around 600 with it before I wasn't able to generate enough flow. And when the sucker was ran hard and got hot it really dropped off bad.
Good stuff Larry, can't wait to see it run!
I'm turning over 700 rwhp with a A1000 and have no issues...maybe that BS is a import thing??
I have the aeromotive pro series pump. My pump is bigger than yours.

And to 94 Gt! Don"t know where you get your info. on Speed Freaks exagerating their Dyno No.'s..I have seen guys come out of their shop dissappointed with their results based on other Dynos..But Ravi would make no adjustments. I have also seen cars come from another Dyno, Dyno Jet and make much less HP than on Ravi's dyno. That was Performance Dyno..A very good shop.
Statements like this about another Competitor is very unprofessional.
Now see, you only think I'm unprofessional. If you knew me, you would know for a fact that I am very unprofessional. I don't even charge tax when my customers pay me with beer!
I was not trying to bash on the other guys shop. So I appologize if that is how I came off. I've just heard stuff through the rumor mill and current customers as I'm sure people have heard things about my shop. All I was trying to get out there is that dyno's aren't the most accurate meassure of power, (but they sure a fun tool to use to bench race with).
I'm sure you have a stout running machine and I can't wait to scope out the competition when it comes to the track.

When I take pics of my pump I have to use the panoramic view!!!
JohnnyB has to use the "Zoom In" function. [ December 14, 2007, 11:54 AM: Message edited by: cummins ]

LOL
I think you have more cash in lines and fittings than most have in their entire fuel system!! I know thats how i feel when i look at mine. Thank god I didn't have to spend it all!

No issues with the pump...could be you need the 1/2' fuel lines and fuel rails...delivery does help.

Hi Larry, The main difference between the Mustang and the Dynojet is that a Mustang is a loading dyno and the Dynojet is an inertia dyno.
With an inertia dyno, the only load being placed on the vehicle is the weight of the rollers. With the Dynojet, that weight is only about 2600lbs. So if you are tuning a car on the Dynojet, you are tuning the engine to push around 2600lbs. That's fine on the dyno, but as soon as you get the car on the street, the car probably weighs closer to 3500lbs. So the engine you just tuned to push around 2600lbs is pushing around about a 1000lbs more weight. This additional load on the engine is going to cause the engine to detonate.
Whereas the Mustang is a loading dyno. We have an electromagnetic brake called an Eddy Current that allows us to apply additional load on to the vehicle. We also have a patented program called Road Load Simulation. With this program, we can simulate the weight and aerodynamic drag of the vehicle. So when you are tuning the engine on the dyno, you are tuning it to the amount of load that it normally sees on the street and therefore it won't detonate when on the street.
As for the Dynojet reading higher than the Mustang, that is correct. But if you look at almost all of the other dyno manufacturers out there, they read numbers closer to ours. About 6 months ago, there was a magazine article in "Sportscar International." This article was an interview with Mark Dobeck, the founder and original owner of Dynojet. In the articles he goes on to explain when he made his first motorcycle dyno, they weren't getting wheel horsepower numbers that he thought a certain motorcycle should get. So he incorporated a fudge factor into the number. That fudge factor has been present ever since in all of their dynos. That is why they tend to have higher dyno numbers than other dyno manufacturers.
If you have any other questions, please let me know.
Thanks,

I HAVE BEEN TOLD BY VERY RESPECTABLE RACERS AND TUNERS THAT YOU COULD POSSIBLY DETONATE ON A DYNO JET DUE TO NO LOAD PLACED. ALSO A DYNO JET GIVES RWHP RESULTS 10% HIGHER THAN A MUSTANG DYNO.?
