Can the colum be removed from the part that is held in by 1 bolt or do you unbolt it from the "rag joint" on the engine side?! thanks.BTW this is for a foxbody! [Big Grin]

E, you dont have to do either of them.Just undo the 6 bolts that hold it in under the dash.4 column bolts and 2 hood release bolts.Undo all the electrical and drop it down.Give it a few good pulls and the column will be out.You see what I mean when it comes out that the column is seperate from the peice that goes through the firewall and bolts to the r&p

Hope this saves ALOT of time!

well, what i want to do is remove the colum completely from the car(to out another one in) i've done all that as you stated (thank you) but what to do now? the 1 bolt that goes through the shaft is gone,but does it disengauge from there or from the rag joint?

For mine I had to pull it pretty damn hard. But it will come out long as everything is undone as haulinass said.
