Anyone know how to keep the hatch from rattling when driving over a bump? I have replace the striker and it was quiet for a few weeks. I can adjust the bumpers but it only fixes it for a week of so. It seems as if the striker doesn't stay in the same position. Also, I have torqued the striker to Ford specs.

Any help would be appreciated...

Try this: Apply silicone lubricant that comes in spray, for convenience, or in a tube to the weather-stripping. It could be that the weather stripping is not as pliable as it used to be when new. For me, this is part of my "365 Day Periodic Inspection" and it seems to keep the hatch quiet. Otherwise, try installing new weather-stripping. Good luck.

I just put electrical tape around the strike bar, problem solved. The strike bar is also adjustable, it might be that yours just got knocked out of whack.

The sriker bar is brand new (as of 4 months ago). I can adjust it tight and quiet, but the hatch will get a little louder and louder over a month or so as I drive it. The weather stripping is very pliable, but I still might replace it anyway.

I used universal tape on weatherstriping on top of the factory stuff, works great and keeps the rain out
