I just bought a universal oxygen sensor from kragen for my 4 door, 1998 honda civic dx . I wanted to make sure that I connected the wires properly. If I am correct the:
signal wire is WHITE.
(2)heater wires are BLACK.
and ground wire is GRAY.
Please let me know if this is correct. I google'd it really quick, but I couldn't find it. [ June 14, 2005, 04:51 PM: Message edited by: menlo pony ]

And how long should it take the check engine light to turn off, after I replaced it?
And yes I'm sure that was what caused the check engine light to go on. I took it to the dealer, but they were going to rape me on parts and installation, so I did it my self.

Thanks, it worked. Would the light turn off even if I did not fix the problem. Or would it turn on later, if I did not fix the problem (and only unplugged the battery)?
