My car stopped heating up so i thought the thermostat was stuck open. I changed the t-stat and still have the same problem. Could my gauge be bad?? Has anyone had any problems with their autometer gauges? Or does anyone have any idea why the car wouldnt heat up even though I just changed the thermostat???

Pull the metal fitting out of the manifold or where ever you have it mounted for the gauge and hold a lighter against the copper portion. Watch the gauge as the temp should rise quickly. Just hold the flame on it for a moment and that should tell you if it's gauge related.
