my friend made a removable shifter arm, and fabricated a metal plate that locks in the shift boot's place.you need a key to get the plate off. cost him less than $20 to make. it takes a little bit more time than all these other tricks, but great results. he dosnt even have to take the shifter with him, he could just lock it in the glove box or something, but he does, he attatches it to his key chain. lol
