From the looks of this chart I cannot get the correct gear? I have a 93AOD car with 410's now. It looks like the gear they tell me to use is the "correct" one for 355's. I replaced 327's.

If you have a 6 tooth drive gear then you can have a 20 tooth speedo gear for the 4.10's...The Auto trans 20 tooth is Orange Part# C8SZ-B...

The drive gear you have stock is not 6 tooth so you have to replace that...I'm not sure how involved that is on an AOD... [Frown]

FUC%........... Now my cars mileage is going to go up a lot more than it should......

It says that it is very involved to change the gearset inside the tranny. I guess I will toss in the 355 gear even though it won't be much different from my current 327 gear.

You can just get the speedometer itself recalibrated...There used to be a place in Hayward on Mission blvd, but I haven't been there in years!...

EDIT- You can also buy a gear reducer box that mount after the speedo gear to help recalibrate the speedo...

Yeah maybe something like a gear venders adapter might be the fix. There used to be a speedo shop in San Jose to but I forget the name. Give Dale's transmissions a call in San Jose. I'd bet he would have a solution for ya.
