wut is the huge difference though? is it faster acceleration or what?

You can have "too" big a MAF. Generally your engine will have more power if it has more air. Many people fail to realize that some "restriction" is necessary to maintain/increase velocity of the incoming air. Your MAF is too big to be efficient on a reletivly tame motor.
