every one has diffrent opinions some say just run it for a few miles change oil, otheres will say run it for a few minutes,

my self I beleave in letting everything seat, take it easy on it for atleast 1000 miles

I could be wrong
but really is it goin to kill you to take it easy for 1000 miles change the oil and their you go. Off race you go

305 bored to a 327? I know absolutely nothing about this so correct me if im wrong, but you gained 22 cubic inches from boring the cylinders?????? Sounds strange to me, I would think that a 327 has a longer stroke than a 305???? Anyone know???????
I know someone around here knows this. Help me out. [patriot]

mellow for the first 1k miles is a good idea, especailly if you have a lot invested in your motor...

take into account the type of motor/setup also, flat-tappet cams, OHC, roller cam...ductile iron rings or cromoly rings...500 bux or 10k bux...

i agree, don't baby it just drive it hard. i know people that has babied their motors and ones that dogged it and seems like the ones that babied theirs don't run as hard as the dogged ones.
