Tryin to save the 250 bucks of an install by doing the clutch myself. Everything is removed from underneath the car (driveshaft, transmount, exhaust, etc) but the the trans will not budge. I pulled the 3 bolts from the drivers side and the 2 bolts from the passenger side and supported the trans on a jack. When I try to slide it back off of the input shaft it won't budge..almost like it is still attached to the motor. Even the motor moves slightly when I move the trans all around. Please help me..by the way it is a 5 speed.

you have to remove the starter, and i belive that there are two bolts on top. (correct me if im wrong) on my t-5 there is also two lil bolts that are located at the bottom of the tranny bellhousing that hold the sheet metal cover. im not sure if that year has them. good luck.

Thanks to everyone for your help..the correct answer to the amount of bolts that hold the bellhousing to the block is (7)...(4)on the driverside and (3) on the passenger side...if anyone cares...and yes the clutch grenaded itself..I will try and post pics of it later..but the clutch seperated at the pop rivits and melted to the pressure plate!!! Needless to say it's fucked up and pretty cool all at the same time..damn I drive too good for my car to even hold up...where's John Force at???

So what new clutch did you end up going with? Pretty rare for a new king cobra to do that. You really only hear about centerforces gernading on the first pass. Can you post pictures of it? How does the flywheel look?
