Pulled a plug on my friends blown cobra... and boom full of oil and fuel... could this be the seal seat for the plug? or... maybe a piston ring?

oil is typically blow-by.
outside chance of valve guides (probably only if heads poorly machined or pretty high mileage)

compression check is in order, then leakdown (depending on results)

compression check is being done..

shade, what is a "leak down"?
I pulled the stock plug.. put in a new plug.. cleaned the area.. made sure the plug was threaded in.. went for a short cruise and boom here comes oil again.. only on the #8 cylinder... my bud just got a whole new long block from ford.. hmm... probably their error...

leakdown is when you have compressed air, get a spark plug fitting, and there's a procedure where you basically take pressure readings over time. It shows you other things that a compression test can miss. (most people don't have the tools/setup for it, but a compression checker is like $35 at sears)
