i have a 89 gt. right now i have basically an h-pipe with signle cham. flows on it..but i still have the cats on it. im thinking about either taking the cats off or making them hollow. id rather make them hollow so it looks like i have them but i dont. does anyone know someone who can do this for me? or explain how it can be done so maybe i can possible do it. Also..im starting to think itl be wayyyyy tooo loud. i dont know though. what do u guys think? i have saleen headers on my car to complete my exhaust system if that makes any difference.

Ive heard of gutting the cats... usually use a long drill (masonry drill works good i hear) a long chisel anda hammmer. Pretty much just drill the cats thru, and use the chisel and hammer to knock all the stuff out.

I have H pipe & no cats, w 2 chamber Flows. Yes, it's loud. You will have to go easy on the throttle around cops & your friends will KNOW it's you when you arrive to pick them up.
But, I have not had a ticket or lip from a cop in the 5 years I have had them.

Wait, I just re-read your post, do you have true single chamber flows?? Like the race style ones??

If so, you may even get kicked off a track. Unless your blown or have serious mods, I say keep the cats. Damn, that shits loud!
