One of my customers has this for sale if you are interested, this is a copy of his old AD
1998 Mustang Cobra Vert
108k miles on car (actual milegae on chassis is less than 100k due to a non-recalibrated speedometer and 4:30 ring and pinion gears installed at 65k)
15-18k on hi performance balanced and blueprinted UNTUNED rebuild by HCI Motorsports consisting of:
Brand new forged FMS crank, forged Manley rods, .020 over forged Alu-sil CP pistons 10 or 11:1 compression ratio, clevite bearings, total seal rings,
Heads had a stage 3 port and polish with hand lapped valves. IMRC delete,
Exhaust: NOTE they exhaust on the car is NOT SMOG LEGAL but if you are looking at this car you are most likely and enthusiast and "know a way around that"
Walnut Creek Ford sold me the car without the 4 cat H pipe and agreed to give me the smog legal exhaust items at no charge but now she's reneging but they are easy enough to "borrow" on Ca fords if you're a member. SO, if I take off the hooker super comp longtubes and the Hooker off road X pipe and install the smog items the car is going to be sold at a higher price. You're just going to put them back on anyway because no one leaves a cobra with a built motor stock.
I WILL hook you up with my good friend who owns a muffler shop in Dublin who will do the swap inexpensively. My issue is TIME and not enough of it. So, $7000 if my time is involved and less $ if you handle business and work your connections)
Jet hot coated hooker long tubes hooker x pipe flowmaster 2 chambers. NEEDLESS to say the car sounds FUCKING awesome.
Trans clutch drive line:
T45 with no issues, pro 5.0K, Fidanza aluminum flywheel with brand new insert, brand new king cobra clutch kit (to be honest the engine needs a stronger clutch but I was short on funds when I needed a clutch) FMS aluminum driveshaft, FMS 4:30 gears, addustable clutch quadrant and firewall adjuster
Suspension: Eibach Sportlines, kyb gr2 shocks still under warranty thru Summit, Steeda stress bar AND full length Steeda subframe connectors. Car handles well. Included but not installed are a set of Grannitelli upper and lower control arms.
Tuner: Unlocked Xcalibrator 2 handtuner included as are a brand new set of 30lb injectors. CAR HAS NOT BEEN DYNO TUNED but...if you do, this motor was built to take up to a 300 shot of NO2 and is an honest 400hp all motor.
Interior: Currently installed are a set of Corbeau CR2 seats that are very comfortable but are faded and torn on the drivers side. (you can't see them when you're sitting in them so...who cares?) I do however have the original stock seats that I took out of the car in 1999 (oh yeah I bought the car with 20k on it in 99) that are in excellent shape and included of course. Sun visors are tattered, carpet is good, dash is good, rear seat is good. I drove this car with its top down...duh...it's a convertible! Steering wheel has seen its share of Cali sun so if you're prissy about that kind of stuff buy another or better yet a FR500 as a replacement.
Wheels tires chrome Cobra R rims from Dante/AFS 17x10.5 Rears. New Nitto 555 tires 245 front 285 out back.
