Author Topic: Art Carr 800HP Competiton AOD for sale more -> TURBOGT ¯ Member # 234 posted                              This transmission has been in my car for over a year and has less than 1k miles on it. Only used on weekends and driving to the track. This is the best of the best from Art Carr. I had it completely gone through from Art Carr when I purchased it and everything was good but I had them put some new clutches in anyways. I have the dyno sheet from when I got it back from them. Features: full manual valve body w/ transbrake one-piece input shaft Super Rebuild Kit with extra clutches new updated pump gears, billet super “A” over drive servo mechanical diode drum kit stamped steel direct drum and wide band drum assembly Overdrive is activated by a switch Trick flow deep aluminum pan w/ bung for tranny temp gauge This transmission works perfect and has gotten my 3500# car to an 11.56 @ 121. I'm making around 550hp and it doesn't break a sweat. I use 2 transmission coolers so the atf fluid has never gotten over 200*F. The only reason why I'm selling is because I have a 1500hp capable lentech coming because my new motor should make close to a 1000hp. The transmission also comes with a Art Carr 9" torque converter that is also top of the line and was built with a low stall for street use. The tranny itself retails for $2860.00 and the converter is another $800. Plus shipping your looking at over $4000 for a similar setup. I'll let it all go for $2500 The tranny is in the car right now and I can take SERIOUS buyers for a ride so they can see that everything works. No pics but it's an AOD painted black But I can always jack the car up and take some pics.
