Dont be fooled by the price, It needs some work & looks kinda funny It was my girlfriend cusins car in the early 90's. He didn't have room for it any more, so I picked it up. Now it's taking up space b/c I dont want to fix it either. So here goes, will also trade for 87-93 aftermarket parts

they didnt make a 328 in 1987. I guessing its a 325 series or a 318. Is it an i or an e motor?

the same motor used in the 325e in 1987 was called a 528e in the 5 series, and it's actually a 2.7L stroker that rev's to a whopping 4500rpm, lol.
it's pretty acceptable to call it a 328 IMO.

I'm pretty familar with e30's and I've never heard a 325 or 325e called an 328. bmw has made 328's but they belong in the e36 family. You could call an 325e an 328 but it would then you could also call a 528 and 525 with that thinking very confusing.
