All of the proceeds from the racing go to support the trailer queens. yes, they are beautiful cars. But if the goodguys really understood how the auto enthusiast's mind really worked, they would have the racers be supported by the car show atendees. A spectator at a Good Guys drag race event pais $45.00 to get in(2 day event). The car shows are what, UP to $10.00/person now? Gimme a break.
If they knew how to run a sanction, they would have alot more racers, alot more shows, and alot less unhappy drag racers. I may be one, but I can easily name over 150 ex-goodguys. The real irony, is in their name.
have fun. And dont blame the trailer queens. it isnt their fault. Its the losers who run the "not so Good Guys".

Yeah, I have found the goodguys to be a poorly run company. They always screw up and dont handle it well at all. I payed for a 1 year membership and got a card at the time of sign up but never recieved anything so after a few months I e-mailed them. They eventually got back to me and said they had screwed up and now its all fixed. A few more months go by and still nothing. I contact them again and they said something was wrong and now its fixed. Im thinking "OK whatever I still have my year" NOPE! they just continued the membership so by the time its fixed and i start recieving the magazine (only perk I know of from paying to be a member) I only have 3 months left. ![[BS flag]](graemlins/bs_flag.gif) Needless to say I will not pay to be a member ever again
I still plan on going necause I love cars and Goodguys has lots of 'em

I was considering going, but the possibility of rain isn't too exciting. Does anyone know if they will have all the cars out on main street on friday night like usual?

Checked the weather Channel, rain stop's tomarrow and sunny all weekend. Took Friday off to Detail the truck, there is a few of us meeting at the INnOUT burger in Pleasanton at 5am Saturday and Leaving at 5:10 for the front gate, if anyone is interested.

All day. Gates open to public at 8am lasts till about 4. Get there around 10-12 for best veiwing of the show.

I'll be there, I'm going to park in the for sale section and see what kind of offers I can get on my car. Not looking to sell it right away, just get a baseline on what people are willing to pay for my Vert. It's at the detail shop getting the undercarriage, engine compartment and interior steam cleaned. Should look very nice for the show

The show was awesome. It was pretty weird showing a truck though and hanging with a huge truck crowd. I miss the stang.
