I recommend rolling through the water box, putting it in 2nd, taching up to 4.5K, dump the clutch, and roast them until you see a few seconds of smoke.
And ya, sounds like you had time to make a Subway cold cut combo between that 1-2 shift
cant do 2nd gear burnouts because my POS T5 pops out of gear.
Yeah, the MGW SUCKS for bangin gears...

I am not thrilled with my MGW for banging gears. It is very quiet though.
For the track, it's Pro5.0 or nothing for me.
And if you are not doing 2nd gear burnouts, i would hold the burnout a few seconds longer in 1st. [ July 02, 2011, 12:44 AM: Message edited by: Luke87GT ]

Look how slowly Epik's wheels are rotating in the vid. Since his 60ft could be 0.1 better than it is, I'm suggesting he give those tires a bit more heat (just try it to see if it makes a difference). My car responded best to 2nd gear burnouts.
My buddy, who also would 60ft in the 1.69-1.75 range with a stock motor did 1st gear burnouts, but he held them much longer.

Yes more wheel speed at a lower RPM.
Luke..I also do 2nd gear burnouts and have suggested them to Dustin from day one. But due to his tranny issues he is more comfortable with 1st gear for now. His burnouts are about right, maybe a Tad bit more but he is in the right range. Also his factory differential needs to be rebuilt. He can only go so high on the rpm's and dump the clutch. Anymore than the video shows and only one wheel will catch causing his car to bog.

Damn that trap is right around mine, I trapped 107 with a 2.4 60 ft. But my better run was 13.6 @ 102 with a 2.3 60 ft. On street tires so I Spun spun spun! I'm sure with some weight removal I can get this boat into the 12's, what tires are you on?
