Well after fighting some parts gremlins on the Nova for quite a bit of time, we finally got her done. We decided to take the Nova to the WCHRA Spring Nationals at Famoso this past weekend.
We wanted to use this event to shake the car down and to have a nice track prep to get a handle on the car. Friday we were only able to get one test pass in as the tech process seemed to take a good majority of the time. The car left alot harder than we anticipated for a Nitrous tune and running it out motor only and new it may be a chore keeping here down on the nitrous.
Saturday morning first round of qualifying we had some issues with wiring and were unable to make the first round. Instead we took that time to make sure it was ready for the following round. The 2nd round was going to be the first nitrous pass we've made on the car. It left HARD and almost immediately it was in a wheel stand riding the rear bumper. I let out and tried to get back into it but the landing damaged a few things on the car and the car shot to the right. We thrashed to get the car back together for the last round of qualifying and tuned the car to be able to leave softer to get it down the track. We qualified 5 out of 8 so we were pretty happy with that.
Sunday was jsut an amazing day. We made it through 4 rounds of eliminations and WON THE EVENT!
Some of you know the shit that Ive gone through with the car in the past and even in the recent month. We have been thrashing to make this race and to win the event made it all a story book ending!
I would like to thank my better half Vanessa and my Kids for all the support and late late nights trying to get her ready. Thanks to Robby with G&B Racecraft, Theo with Wizard Racing, Norcal Grapahics and Dave and Angie for the Power!
We are hoping to make all the races this year and try and do some damage!!!!

I didn't see you on the news as a lotto winner, so your luck must have ran out. Congrats on the win.... and the big ass wheelie!
You could sell autographed pics of that launch to pay for a new trans pan?
