Well, I certainly did better personally this week at Sears Point than I did last week.
I was getting consistant mid to low 15's in my Mustang.
It's a stock GT, only a K&N filter. my Reaction time needs a bit more work...though I was too twitchy in the second round of eliminations last night and red-lighted with a .448 R/T.
Any one going next week to Sears Point?

Not bad for your first time in basicly a stock '97 at Slick Point raceway.. What was your best MPH and 60ft of the night?

Best 60ft would be in my first Time trial against a fast freaking old Nova.
2.241 60ft 89.14mph was my fastest.

60 ft isn't too too bad, but your MPH is lacking. What RPM were you shifting at?

Sup Nick,
Your way of on your time,
Practice shifting and launching and you should be into the mid 14's no problem.

What I need is a good shifter. Since I have stock 17's I have 3.27's in the rear.
I shift around 5500 RPM to try to keep in the torque curve.
Plus I'm on street tires.
I launch around 1500 rpm so I don't sit and spin the tires.

sounds like you're doing fine with 89 mph to work with.

Reaction time has nothing to do with your ET. Just work on your reaction time when bracket racing.

Try shifting around 5,000 rpms I did 14.4 at 93mph in my stock 98' gt coupe with 3.08s with bad engine and tranny mounts. Only thing that sucks is i have to shift into 4th at the end.
