There were quite a few impressive old-schools. Really, the only foxbody that impressed me was a green 93 LX. SUPER clean car. In just as good of condition as my Cobra. Mods were Edelbrock performer heads, Cobra intake, off-road exhaust (shorties), S-trim pushing 7lbs, & the proper tune. First run of the day was an 11.99 @114mph, 1.69 60ft. Heat soak & lack of traction prevented any better times. This guy took me out in the first round of eliminations with a 12.4 to my 12.7. (dail in 12.35 to 12.55)
Heather took the keys & bested her time again....12.75, my best was a pair of 12.55's.....I was having traction issues for some reason (mid 1.8 60's). Drew took the keys once & clicked off a 12.34.

Yeah i went there also and my runs were pathetic.. My 60s were in low 2.0x's and kept hitting 14s.. The funny thing is that 1st run i hit 14.7 then 2nd @ 14.5 then 14.3 then 14.1 then 13.99 i couldnt lower my 60's because my drag radials are close to bald When i first got my Dr's back in June i ran 13.7 @ 102 on a 1.93 60 if i can lower it to 1.90 or 1.80s i wil be in low 13s for sure and i know i can hit that mark with the same setup..

Yeah, I was about to say that green LX sounds familiar.
So it was mostly an 'old school stang' night?

Actually, there were mostly foxbody & newer stangs. It's just that the old schools that were there....were impressive. My first race was a LOT closer then I thought it would be. Ran an old Couger. Don't know what it had, but I got it out of the hole & it passed me at the top of the track! Later I saw a dial in of 12.1 on it. I'm guessing it was all-motor as 1/8th mile trap on the one run was 89 & 1/4 was 111mph.
Thuglife, Yeah, I saw you there....you parked next to me...I was in the all-blue 91GT.

I was out there. Hotter than shit till about 6ish. My car is slow...Nobody can figure out why. I got a lot of compliments on my car though, including one over the loudspeaker by the announcer which was pretty cool. I ran a best of 15.09@92mph (Still dont know why the MPH was so low)....Handed Drew the keys and he took a few passes and got a best of 15.01@93mph.

That cougar is a friend of mine. Its a 351w with a 150 shot on it. Weird how the last run he unpluged the exhaust and slowed to a 12.5 Anyone know the guy with the lime green 65/66 fastback. That car was f-n awesome to watch run.

Oops, I meant to put 15.01@92mph was drews best time. In the breakdown his reaction was a little better than mine, my 60ft was a little better than his, his ET was a little better than mine, my MPH was a little better than his. Granted he only took 2 passes though.
