it was mobbed last year. this being the first of the year for this event, I expect a mob. Figure 3-4 runs all night if you're lucky.

If I remember right, the first few grudge nights of the year were pretty dead.

it's almost exactly like test-n-tune. only difference, is running side by side is expected. Who you line up against is random, unless you actively seek someone out.
I want some of that 14 second Viper I saw last year

I hear some local Supra guys are going to be lining up with some local Viper guys. Expect to see several people ecstatic about their 12.997@117 MPH with a 1.3 second reaction time

Would that be the Vipers or supras? Or both?

Both. I've been to a couple of Supra dyno days... 375-425 rwhp. I've seen several vipers on the dyno as well, 375 rwhp for the first gen R/T 10's to 450 rwhp for a GTS with bolt-ons.
Will you be out there racing?

The 'Red Vette' couldn't come through on Friday night. His truck is down...and the trailer that he has been using for the past few months is my brothers. And..well...my brother was using it for his own dealio which was testing on Friday and running at the track yesterday. Interesting that the topic of the coug and the vette came up on this thread when neither one of em are on it. Funny how that works!!!

I didn't make it because of work. I would have gone anyway 2 hours late if at least to watch. I didn't hear from a viper buddy and decided not to risk the 90 minute drive if no one was there. Did you go? I saw the results posted on the viper forum. The Supra posted and admited his lose. Pretty cool guy, seem different than some of the supra guys I heard from.
Despite some of the slammn that the vipers and supras get, I thought they had great times Anyway-stock viper w et streets: 11.967@116.56 Modified Supra: 12.039@ 116.56 w/o the et streets the viper would have lost I think. Also viper had better reaction time of .534 vs supra .687. Here the supra would have won if drivers were equal.
pretty good match up
They said they are going again in June, so this time I'm not setting any appointment for saturdays!

My brother was running a maroon 1984 Camaro. It made a really good test pass then it didn't quite make it to the line the next couple attempts and then the last pass had bottle issues (lefty lucy righty tighty and lucy forgot which way was left).
