Cost to end homelessness in America forever is only 22 billion dollars .
Your tax money was wasted to increase the military's budget by 82 billion dollars. This unnecessary use of your tax dollars is bigger than Russia's entire military budget. If good Americans only allowed their military budget increase to match Russia's entire military budget, the rest of the money could be used to end homelessness. If good Americans increase military spending by only 10 billion dollars, they can give every American student free college education so they don't have to spend their lives digging coal out of the dirt.
We only have empty pockets when it comes to the morally right things to do. When it comes to tax cuts for billionaires and when it comes to unlimited war, we seem to be able to invent that money very easily. To me, it belies a lack of moral priorities that people have right now.

The solution is obvious. For decades the crooked CIA has meddled in Latin countries, propping up dictators that step on the neck of their citizens and steal a poor nation's wealth. If America abolishes the corrupt CIA and spends a tiny fraction of the defunct CIA's budget to develop justice and economics in these countries, mothers won't walk barefoot for a thousand miles with a 5 year old daughter holding her hand in hopes of food, education and shelter for her young. If a mother is willing to risk so much, maybe you should let her pick your strawberries for you.
The solution is to go to these countries and build schools. Imprison corrupt police and public officials. Build Universities. Develop the economy. Citizens of a flourishing nation don't have an incentive to emigrate.

The problem is not the wall it’s the border officials Who will take a bribe to look the other way while immigrants cross. You think the u.s is not Corrupt? Regardless of how you feel about people from other countries, this whole "build a wall" is just a farce and a song and dance to quelm the minds of voters with irrational, simple minds. You really want to stop people? Invest that money in modern technology with a combination of drones, unmanned air vehicles, and cameras with machine learning algorithms to detect human traffic vs. wildlife. Those who stand to profit billions a year will find a way to get around a stupid static wall. Comparing this to the Great Wall that took over 1,500 years to build is a silly comparison, too.
I bet you Google could do a better job of protecting the borders instead of the archaic U.S. Government. Everything operates like a slow, lumbering machine and tax dollars are wasted throughout. Yea it’s crazy how so many people can’t just process and rethink of what can be the outcome of something like this.
