Definitely different and very cool, especially since I do car restoration too.. Everything has to look like it did when it rolled off the showroom floor otherwise it won't go back on the car..

Yes it's a lot of dough but I'm sure we are talking about clientele that spend In a month on toys what most of u make in a given year. I've heard of rich wealthy bastards spend money on more ricidulous things than a car

thats what it is. it's nothing to these people.

too bad it's gonna be sitting on some turbines when it's done [Roll Eyes]

Sick restoration setup. That guy has one hell of a backyard shop. Nice to see a fox getting a full on resto.

50-60k on a resto may seem like a lot of money, but in the industry of restorations, it's the going rate for a real deal, complete service. I know two guys who paid shops 20k a piece for just body work, panel replacements, paint, and cut and buff on their fastback Mustangs.

LOL... Most peeps think they can get a car "restored" for like $3k.... What it actually is, your standards are LOW & a Maaco paint job looks good to you. A good show quality or OEM quality paint job these days can cost well over $10k, let alone a full restoration & bodywork.

I guess the people who think this price is crazy have no clue what a Concourse restoration is?

That being said, I would never do this type of restoration to a Fox body, or even an original 66 fastback. Not because its not cool or worth the money, but because I'm not big on stock cars, I mod everything to my liking...

This isn't uncommon these days.....we've done quite a few FULL BUILDS with foxbody's.
In fact I have one here that we are doing.
A 91LX that is getting:

1. 9.10:1 331 stroker
2. Maximum Motorsport FULL GRIP Package
3. BAER 5lug 13inch Disc Conversion
4.......ahh screw it....look at the pics lol

EVERYTHING IS BEING REPLACED ON THIS CAR. Lines, harness, all A/C components, axles, differential, trans, clutch, etc...

Look on last page for body work pics...paint should be done in another week, then motor goes in.

To be honest not exactly sure. This build is a first.
First as in EVERYTHING has a CARB # and is smog legal.
The customers goal with this build was to pass smog with no issues, and no "pop your hood" from the cops for a REF visit.
We will see in the upcoming weeks what a true california legal car can do.
This is a DAILY DRIVEN CAR.

Looks nice, but 60-80K to restore a foxbody???? Not worth it in my opinion, because its not a CLASSIC! and a GT?
