Topic: update 4-11just picked up my 03 cobra from service dept at capitol ford in san jose

so after bringing the car in for the 3rd time for missfire issues and my dpfe hose blowing off and melting ford has finally said that it was an issue with the heads and they replaced both wich came out to be 7k that warranty paid for. well i picked up my cobra thursday then took off with the family in my rental f150 to reno and tahoe. well i came back sat returned the rental to ford hopped in the cobra that night and............   im not one to bash but come on i think the evidence speaks for itself. i will be dropping the car off monday morning for the fourth time on the same issue.

ive been reading about there being an issue with clogged cats causing this and as for not going back i hear you but i want to go back just for the fact that they thanked me so much for being so patiant and now look

Yup they don't like working on cars under warranty because they get payed less for the job so sometimes they do sloppy jobs

Sorry to hear bro. I've had my Cobra for 2.5 years and it's never had major issues (these are good cars, so stay patient). I did have a clogged cat at one point. Maybe it's time to hollow those puppies out on your car ![[Wink]](wink.gif)
I would do some research online. I'm sure there are other 03/04 Cobra owners that have gone through similar issues.

Thanks for the advice fasthatch and rigo really appreciate it guys and as for mr poison so ive heard. i went down there first and asked the service writer if the had certain techs to work on svt vehicles and the guy asked me whats svt thats qhen i ran

Oh ya I forgot u said u got the warranty. That was a smart move bro since youre unfortunately in this situation. Hopefully the mechanics get it right so you can get back in the saddle ASAP! Good luck man and keep us updated with the outcome...
