Maybe people should focus on the economy, our worthless homes, crime, gangs, children with no parents, gas prices, homelessness instead of bitching about the Bible and religion. If you don't believe or have faith oh well that's on you. I for one read the Bible every day doesn't make me better then anyone else but it serves a purpose in my eyes.
And you hope he stays in office, how many of us can truly say our lives and situations are better today then they were 4 year ago? I know I can't, last year I saw about 200 guys laid off at my job, my house is worth 42% of what I paid for it and I just spent $4.47 a gallon on gas today!
Is it all his fault? NOPE Is he the President and is due some blame? YEP

Odd that a Liberal would even speak on religion.
Perhaps, instead on reflecting on whose mythology is better,or which one liner he can pull from a book and twist into a sound bite to suit his needs, politicians should focus on the world that actually exists.

More blood was shed in the name of Christianity than any religion on the face of the earth. I think some of this quote is a little off though. He is cross referencing Old Testament and New Testament. Under the Old Testament we all fall short. But, I do understand where he is going with it. I would take it a step further and tell folks to understand the bible more than just read it.

My beefs with Obama: you can't spend your way out of debt, investments in alternative energy are not wise for the government to pioneer, taxing big businesses is stunting growth not inspiring it. Refusing the keystone pipeline was a huge mistake, micro managing insurance plocies is raising costs for small businesses. Obama care is just another handout to the government freeloading members of society

I dont know if people actually got what this pictures quote ment. Obama is talking about the candidates running for presidency.. All of them seem to be in a religious race when it should not be about religion. I my self find the bible completely contradicting. Thats why I would rather have Obama stay in office then have someone that bases their decisions and actions on a contradicting story. Im sorry if that offends anyone but really if you believe in the bible and want to let it run your life thats fine just keep it in private. I agree 100% with this statement. I consider myself to be a conservative. Not a republican or democrat...... I don't like what either party has been doing. I want to see real change in Washington, State and County level.

Back to the religion stuff though when your partner gets shot,when your kid of family member gets sick,when your leg gets blown off, when someone tries to jack you for your $1200 fox body or when you get into a bad situation don't be yelling God help Me like you atheists always do!

actually no i wouldnt bro and thank you for setting a perfect example as to why religion should not be in office. To much emotion involved and not enough logic seems like there was some anger and hate in your response too. A lot of people need religion. They need to believe there is a higher power to help push them through. Im not calling those people weak, that is just their method to cope with life.. I just am not one of those people.
edit: and i never said anything about republicans or that im a hardcore fan of Obama I just feel like the runners would do more damage then good.
If my "1200" fox gets "jacked" then it is what it is bro I myself know that a prayer isnt going to magically make it appear back in my driveway or make the hands of time go backwards

all this is about is while religious people are out bashing gays, hating black, saying abortion is wrong and all the other shit im just a believer in the pursuit of happiness and i think everyone should have a fair shot at it and with the influence of religion around i think it limits that. Im sure this thread is soon to be locked.
