Other from the fact its a bad ass gun the only problem is the price of ammo. Shit a box a 50 goes for about 30 to 50 bucks and only last me about 20 mins.
I will be buyin. A xd 40 or a kimber soon.
Oh and shootin with a mouth fool skoal ftmfw
Ken, forget about that XD and get yourself the real deal holly field in a Glock 22 .40!!!!!
I've got twins in the 3rd gen and 4th gen models. All I can say is that i'm NEVER letting go of them.
Bro lets go shoot sometime

It's not about that you should own both! Yes I love my Glock but a 1911 is something I knew as a kid I would own.
And lol if you need more then 8 rounds of .45ACP then I don't want to be anywhere near you when the S hits the fan!

Wilson Combat, yeah there are definitely members with cars that cost less, great guns from what I've heard just can't convince myself to spend that kind of coin.

I've got an all original m1911 A1, given to me by my grandfather before he passed away.
Still fires like a dream and sits right next to me at night loaded with Corbon jacketed hollow points.

Thanks! I absolutely love it. I traced the serial number and it was made in the early 40s by Remington Rand in Syracuse NY.
Out of all ther guns I own, its definately my favorite.

I hope to purchase an original 1911, saw one on cal guns the other day for like 1300, very tempting.

i really dont see what the big deal is about a 1911 besides bragging. my buddy has one and i have a glock 30 (45 cal) he has about 7000 rounds through it and i only have maybe 400 through my glock. His gun was only slighty more accurate then me at the same distance which is probably because he has more rounds through his gun and goes to the range more often. I like me glock because its easily concealable, quality made and reasonably priced. I see no real benefit to spending 1500 and up on a damn handgun....

i'd take a 1911 in a close quarter shootout over a glock any day lol.

+1000. There is a reason why the 1911 has been virtually unchanged for 101 years, because it works, no questions asked.
101 years.

benelli tactical marine issue lol, haven't bought a handgun yet, but it's all personal preference, whoever places the first accurate shot wins in a gun fight, correct?

and some people only want stock mustangs, are they wrong? it's all personal preference, i just prefer my guns to be made out of metal and not polymers.

Still..... Neither guns can compare to a Sig Saurer p226/p229. 1911's, Glock's, Berreta's have been the starndard of which law enforcement personel, Military and other government agencies have kept as a gold standard. But the real people in the know, know that the Sig P series is where it's at.
