If any movies best represent the '80's genre, I think it would be any of the late John Hughes movies. His movies best represent the fashion and music trends and lingo of the '80's. Movies like Sixteen Candles, Ferris Bueller's Day Off, Weird Science, Pretty in Pink and The Breakfast Club. I watch these movies now (as corny as they are) and I can't help but say to myself, "Man, that is so '80's"
