nicely said pare ko...i could see if he was a straight asshole or showboater then hate on the mofo but mannny is just a very humble person. everyone saying he doing drugs but seriously has any one proven this fact or just riding the media blitz ballz. i thinks its just the balut we eat and the dog soup (ascal speciality) that puts manny on a diff level. i honestly would like to see manny vs floyd happen so hopefully it does.....no more bs....

I am glad for what he represents to the Filipino people and his country. He is very humble and good statesmen for them.
Now to the real sh*t.
I would like Manny, Margarito and Mayweather to just retire. All 3 are terrible for the sport of boxing. With those 3 gone we got some young studs in those divisions that may be able to return boxing back to the Hagler/Hearns/Leonard days. Maybe we will see a Aaron Pryor in James Kirkland. Boxing has become such a circus of corruption that the fans are no longer passionate and reduced to feeding off the media for opinions. There is no way in the late 80's early 90's would this fight have ever happened. 2 fighters not ranked in a division, never having had boxed in that division and not even fighting at the legal limit for the division would have never fought for that belt. But the fans Manny brings are outrageous in numbers but equally outrageous in ignorance to the sport. Why when both fighters were offered Sergio Martinez did both decline? Why when he vacated the belt did all of sudden they want it? How in the world did they jump over all the mandatory title contenders for the vacant belt? Why has all Manny's latest conquests been against fighters under the same promoter? Why were they all fights well below the limit for each weight class? Now to Floyd. Why does he only fight fighters with big names? Why not just fight because that person is the best challenge? While I agree with Mayweather on the PEDs thing with Manny, just let that go then and fight other people. There are other good fights out there. Hell, fight Berto. Manny has gotten on with you, now you do the same.
But ultimately, Manny cake walked into the record books. Not fighting anyone of pedigree since Marquez IMO. And I believe Marquez should have won. Oscar, Hatton both shadows. Clottey, just didnt fight. Neither did Cotto and on into Margarito. Margarito should not have been there anyway. He looked terrible in his last tune up fights.
I am glad he has the 8th belt now he can take his ass onto another chapter in his life. He broke Margs eye socket so that should derail his career and have him thinking retirement. And hopefully Mayweather goes to jail for beating his lady. Then boxing can get back to boxing.

People like who they like. Manny brings a crowd of support just because of who he is and shat he is doing in boxing. Those people don't care who the other person is. Ignorance is bliss. People followed Tyson around cause he was KOing fools. Not to examine and know about all the fighters.And learn the history of the sport. Except that Manny is hella good. it is what it is. 8 belts? C'mon. He's not up and coming where he should take any fight handed to him. He is the elite and can choose his fights. Honestly I watched boxing when Tyson was knockin people out. Saw Roy Jones Jr lightning fast hands. And now Pacman cause he tears fighters up. Thats it, don't know about every other fighter out there.
Just my 2 cents. BTW I do want to see a Pacman/ Mayweather fight! Then the rematch. Then everyone can retire.

Well the good thing Arum is out of welterweight and junior Mids. So if Manny takes another fight it wont help but be against someone who wont lay down. I am not really trying to hate on him. But folks that are real fans of the sport and not a fan of the man, can see right through the corruption involved here. I actually think Manny is a great talent. But the world thinks they have seen his limits but truly have not. He beaten but not fought anyone of notable pedigree IMO since Marquez. I just do not understand why not fight Sergio Martinez for that belt. But soon as he vacates it you are willing to fight a disgraced, lesser competitor stable mate? Why? Because it was a safe route to the record books. Margarito is not as good as Sergio and is managed by someone other than Arum.
Please retire Manny, Floyd and Margarito.
