Those models had a 7.5" rear with Quadra-Shock rear suspension.
The 7.5" rear did not ever have "posi track". Neither did the 8.8" rear.
"posi" = GM
Ford = Traction-Lok
Yes, the 7.5" rear had Traction-Lok. It was optional with the 4.2L V8 and mandatory with the 5.0L and 2.3T starting in '81. None of the 2.3T model except the '87/'88 Turbocoupe had anything but a 7.5" rear. The 5.0L models didn't get an '8.8" rear until '86
