I used to go swimming in the ocean all the time when I lived in the bay area, I used to go way out there from shore, It was point reyes, and places along there, Than I started watching shark week on discovery channel and I'll never go in there again, Plus one time as a kid, We were at point reyes and seen a great white shark attacking something, we looked down off the cliff and had a perfect view, there was blood all over, it was crazy he was huge!
