What do you like other than Mob Figaz???
Messy Marv, Naz, Lil Wayne, CBo, J Stalin, Keak Da Sneak, Tool, Luniz, Stone Temple Pilots, Incubus, Ya Boy, 2pac(of course), Biggie(of course), B-legit, Old E40, Dj Quick, Kurupt, Daz Dillinger, Snoop dog, ice cube, eazy e, ub-40, mac dre, too short, andre nickaina(dre dog), x raided, bone thugs, Prodigy, lee majors, the whoridas, bob marley, some reggae stuff i don't know the names, lot of different rock/alternative etc i don't know the names, broth lynch, clyde carson....
There's much more but this is a sample of different artists I like.
Sounds like your implying I don't listen to anything else...
I was just playing with ya... "Don't be so serious"
Nice list though.... Whoridaz "Shot callin & big ballin"
Oh then it's all good
"Lets talk about bank"
If you have the album then you know the first track hits hard on subs....."you aint ever heard nothing like this before"...the baseline is none stop, it's ridiculous
I never had the whole album, but I got the early underground vinyl with a few tracks. Talk about bank was hard too...
This is my sh#t though... LOL @ the V6 stang rental vert in the video..

But that's what I like, something to cruise to or kick back and enjoy....that locksmith is not something I would not enjoy in my car on the freeway.
I don't really listen to brotha lynch much anymore either because of that. the loaded album is my favorite though...
A lot has to do with what they are talking about, I don't really care much for what locksmith is talking about....some people do and that's cool
The artists I listen to now is mostly because I like what they are talking about not necessarily because they used some awesome poetic method to convey some message ... lol that's not to say they aren't putting lyrics together well either

I agree with what you are saying somewhat. When I cruise in my car, I listen to mostly old school funk like Gap band, Kool & the Gang, EWF, etc, or some snoop, e40, Doe or Die etc... Its good stuff to ride out to, doesnt require much thinking, & it has good beats.... But when I want to hear something lyrical, or something that will expand my mind, I will throw on some nas, Jay Z, Em, or something like Locksmith... Different styles for different situations or moods...

I'm pretty sure Lock and Left both graduated from UC Berkeley.
If you can't determine the difference from Twista's flow and bar structure from Lock's.. then you must be, no, you ARE a casual Rap music listener. And if you couldn't catch that Lil Wayne shot/subliminal in that song then you probably won't feel real raw Hip Hop artists such as Locksmith and that supports the previous sentence even more.
And no offense, but that is the main reason why people like Crooked I, Locksmith, Balance, Clyde Carson, Jay Rock, Ya Boy, Dubb, Tech N9ne, Yukmouth, Papoose, Joell Ortiz, Royce Da 5'9 etc etc are not in the main spotlight that they deserve. The first rapper I mentioned would rap circles around 99.999% of the Bay Area artists out with the exception of Lock and I'm not even a Frontline/Locksmith fan. So this song must be pretty good in Hip Hop terms.

I was listening to Do or Die the other day. But yea Twista has lyrics "Adrenaline Rush" is something I slap almost everyday at some point. That verse where that fool says "Stompin off like Jason on rocks" had me like damn when I first heard it. I am trying to get into todays rap but it is so hard. The industry does a good job of sugar coating rappers and making them gimmicks. None of these rappers have anything good to say anymore. I wish Wayne would return to the hotboys days and stop all the whining and crying. I wish Scarface would drop something, eightball and mjg. To me there is a huge void in rap. Only gimmicks are holding it up now. The Lock dude is ok, but I cant see myself listening to him all day like I can do like JayZ, Pac, Jada Kiss.....
