If you grow up in Hawaii, raised by your grandparents, you're exotic, different.'
Grow up in Alaska eating moose burgers and kill wolves while circling from a helicopter you're a quintessential American story.

If your name is Barack you're a radical, unpatriotic Muslim.
Name your kids Bristol, Willow, Piper, Track & Trig you're a maverick.

Graduate from Harvard law School and you are unstable.
Attend 5 different small colleges over six years before graduating, you're well grounded.

If you spend 3 years as a brilliant community organizer, become the first black President of the Harvard Law Review, create a voter registration drive that registers 150,000 new voters, spend 12 years as a Constitutional Law professor, spend 8 years as a State Senator representing a district with over 750,000 people, become chairman of the state Senate's Health and Human Services committee, spend 4 years in the United States Senate representing a state of 13 million people while sponsoring 131 bills and serving on the Foreign Affairs, Environment and Public Works and Veteran's Affairs committees, you don't have any real leadership experience.

If your total resume is: local weather girl, 4 years on the city council and 6 years as the mayor of a town with less than 7,000 people, 20 months as the governor of a state with only 650,000 people, then you're qualified to become the country's second highest ranking executive.

If you have been married to the same woman for 19 years while raising 2 beautiful daughters, all within Protestant churches, you're not a real Christian.

If you notoriously cheated on your first wife with a rich heiress, and left your disfigured wife and married the heiress the next month, you're a good Christian.

If you teach responsible, age appropriate sex education, including the proper use of birth control, you are eroding the fiber of society.

If, while governor, you staunchly advocate abstinence only, with no other option in sex education in your state's school system while your unwed teen daughter ends up pregnant, and your 19 year old son was convicted of cocaine usage and cutting the fuel lines on 60 school busses, you're very responsible.

If your wife is a Harvard graduate lawyer who gave up a position in a prestigious law firm to work for the betterment of her inner city community, then gave that up to raise a family, your family's values don't represent America's.

If you're husband is nicknamed 'First Dude', with at least one DWI conviction and no college education, who didn't register to vote until age 25 and once was a member of a group that advocated the secession of Alaska from the USA, your family is extremely admirable.

OK, much clearer now.

+ 100000000000

finally someone on this topic that actually has sense .......

people woh are voting for Mc-stupid and parrot palin -
dont be blind by color - use your brains , read/do some research.
if you make more than $200,000 a year - yeah i can see why your voting for mc-stupid. if you dont like most people - vote Obama/Biden - or dont vote at all. we really dont need another bush (and not the one in between your legs) in the white house, look at the all the shit that he ahs put us into. [patriot]

I don't make anywhere near 200k a year. i'm a poor college student! while i do like the idea of not paying any taxes under obama's plan, I don't think it's the right direction to go. What many of us fail to realize is that obama's tax hikes to the rich will trickle down to us. he taxes businesses more and therefore they make less money, and they have less incentive to hire new people and create new jobs. he wants to raise the taxes on people who are already giving up 40% of what the make and who are really the ones financing our government. (the top 50% of income earners are already paying 96% of income taxes) he then wants to send a check to everybody in the lower income levels who won't be paying income tax at all! if this isn't socialism, i dont know what is!!

also, his capital gains tax increases do not encourage investment at all. many investors will take their money and ultimately their tax dollars elsewhere.

while obama's plan sounds great for all us low income people, it's really robbing the rich to pay the poor, and that's NOT a capitalistic way of thinking, It is however a socialist ideal.

Nah. no need. I am just voicing my opinion. Actually I am contesting your trickle down theory more than anything. But like I said, no ones remedy is fool proof. But 4 more years of a bush like president is just not cool to me.

Here, i'll even show my sources:

and the trickle down theory is not new, it's what ronald reagan preached, and he had a very high approval rating through his presidency and his economic strategies arguably resulted in the economic boom in the 1990s under the clinton administration.

The trickle down theory helped create the clinton boom? What killed it, Bush?
