Looks to me like some have already started the batch of haterade............
Whatever go ahead put $2000 internals in a ~$250 block. There are smarter/cheaper/make more power with less money, etc alternatives..
Why not use an FRPP A460 block? You already got $$,$$$ in it..

a stock 460 ford block will easily handle what he is talking about. It isn't even a issue. Either the edelbrock or the SCJ head is a good choice. Blue Thunder makes some good stuff also

why would i listen to you about what i do with my money? where are your credentials about motors? You go from telling me it better make more than 1hp per cubic inch, which is easy for this motor to now telling me i should have gone with another block that isn't cheaper than the one i have. This motor will produce exactly what i want from it and it will handle it no problem, i am sorry you didn't know that.

It will easily make that.
I am sure the torque curve should be pretty impressive also .

Going with some Elderbrock heads and intake or i could go with the Super Cobra Jet heads.
Like I said, John Kaase P51 heads. He designed the Super Cobra jets and these are developed from those, (ie better).
Also- It's Edelbrock.

I like the idea of edelbrock heads and a port matched edel intake. Good quality at reasonable price. What trans are you planning to run? This thing is going to put a shit eating grin on you're face. [ September 07, 2007, 10:59 PM: Message edited by: season'd 88 ]
