BillyBlownEngineNOSMustang, sorry to hear about your engine! An aluminum block?!!???! Big dollars, dude! Rare as can be, also. Look into doing the Ford Boss block, that's what I would do. Marcy must REALLY love you a LOT to shell out that kind of cash! Good luck, Lems

You can get a Ford B50, an SVO, or a DART block. Those are arranged in price also from lowest to most expensive being the DART block which is rated at 1100+ hp but has handled much more.
An aluminum 4-bolt block costs around $4,200 un-machined. Add in machining, torque-honing, rotating assembly, balancing, misc new screws (ARP), and gaskets and it easily adds up..
BOTTOM LINE: The more HP you want, the more you have to spend!

If You are staying with a stock block then Why would You want a stroker with a S trim? 306 makes enough power to break a stock block. I have 306 with S trim & stockblock with around 600 fwhp and all I can say is it's a ticking time bomb! If You are going stroked and blown then You have to at least go with a sportsman block IMO. It would suck to drop 3-4k on a stroker and blow it up rite after.
Yyp been there done that...LOL I had a stock H.O block that had a 347 kit on it the a 150 shot and guess what...? I got a hole on the block so Smokin LX is right if u gonna go that route get a GOOD block.
hey my car is ur avitar!

I will go with a World block (Man O War) seems to be pretty strong. As well as expanable. As far as motor size goes. Thanks for all your input. It has helped.
