That was a complete joke. Kimbo looked the worst I've ever seen him look. He took two shots within the first minute, one of which knocked him down. Kimbo needs to focus on his clinch defense. He leaves himself way too open in my opinion. Chico's main issue was he was too slow to move in for the kill once he caught Kimbo with the uppercut.
All I'm going to say is that Ray Mercer is going to fuck Kimbo's ass up badly. They're calling the June 23 fight Kimbo's first sanctioned MMA bout. If Kimbo fought a true heavyweight MMA fighter versed in say Muay Thai he would get his ass beat upside down.

Yea other dude looked good in the beginning but didn't capitalize on the shot that stunned kimbo. He looks old and tired and to have him fight a "pro" fight on payper view is just plain out ridiculous!

i look at it like this if kimbo gets mercer down he could win, but if kimbo just tries to stand and bang with him its lights out. but both have k.o. power and with 4 ounce gloves it could be fast.they say kimbo has been training hard and that he will do a week with bas ruttan (sp).

Kimbo is gonna K.O. Ray Mercer. By looking at this fight I now know why he is not a pro boxer. If you give him movement and dont stand in front of him, he can get out boxed and beaten. Ray would have a good chance of beating Kimbo if he was about 10 years younger. But at this stage in their careers Mercer is gonna get hurt. That dude did'nt punch hard enough to keep Kimbo off of him and which is why he lost,

that was a good fight. back to bimbo, no doubt hes had some ring experience, hes not your average joe when it comes to street fighting but hes not in the same league as a ray mercer, even at 45 years old if ray gets in shape and comes to fight he well kill bimbo. but if like john b says its a publicity stunt then its a waste of money. thats why i wont pay for this shit anymore you never know whats on the up and up.

I dunno man, kimbo is solid physically and fundamentally and I have seen him take some mean shots to the chin bare fisted. And being that ray mercer is 45. I think Kimbo will take this one on reflexes alone. Now had ray been in his prime. He'd probably knock kimbo into the 3rd row. Dont they have any UFC guys he can fight? Maybe Rampage? I might pay for that, but not to see him him fight Ray "Pass me a Jelly Roll" Mercer.

At age 45 I would seriously be impressed if Mercer reached 40% of the level he was at during his peak years.
I don't think Kimbo could compete with many pro fighters, but a 45 year old Mercer, I think this could be an easy one for Kimbo

who cares that he is 45, if he comes into the fight in shape then the aga doesnt matter, kimbo went down from a punch from a street fighter if mercer lands a clean punch its over. when that chico guy was moving his head kimbo couldnt touch him. mercer will know how to move. they both have a punchers chance especially with 4 ounce gloves. kimbo better just get in tight throw some elbows and overwhelm mercer or take him down.

+1, I am finding it hard to get up and be competitive in sports at 33, I can imagine 45. And I tried boxing it is by far the hardest sport I have tried. I agree too tho, that both have a punchers chance to end this early. But I will wait for the footage. Wont be ordering this side show circus crap.
