I have had a clifford and a viper. I think the viper was better. Longer range, longer battery life and sturdier. I drop my keys all the time and the clifford didnt last long [patriot] My Viper alarm cost more too. i think it cam ewith more stuff as well. With my clifford I had to add proximity and trunk pop. If you can add just about all modules.

Could be, I bought them like a year apart so maybe they changed the style. I heard companies do that.

The range on my Audiovox was really good, had the remote start and trunk programmed in it.

If I had the remote start hooked up (I chose to not have it due to a 5 spd) I could program it to turn the vehicle on, when the interior temp reached a certain degree, to either warm or cool it.

Yes they are! The clifford one just uses a different shock sensor, led and siren but basically the same unit both manufactured by directed electronics. Just go with a 791xv viper system great alarm two way pager with remote start! [patriot]
