They aren't cheap. I bought a bolt-in Wolf Racecraft 6-point Chromoly with dual swingouts for just under $1200 shipped....& install was free since I did it myself. Powdercoating would have been extra, but I painted it myself as well.
A buddy just had a Chromoly 8-point custom cage built/installed at a local shop & spent well over $2500.
Another buddy had an 8-point installed at the same shop & spent $1100 for them to tig it in along with a few other modifications to the cage that he brought them.
From my experience, no, $2200 doesn't seem out of line for a cage installed.

for what car, it better be for the 94 or 95.neither of those cars will be fast enough to need a roll bar.

I bought a Chris Alston Chassis Works 8pt cage for around 250 and had it put in at Big Boy Racing in Fremont for another 9 hun.
