what gears in the 7.5 are available? it tachs out on the freeway @3000rpm, with 235/60R15's. i put it into O/D and its drops too 2000rpm!

Nah nothing new about em ford had forged flattops until they went hyper in 92....I am may be using the wrong "Hyper" word tho or misspelling it...lol. Its hypereutic, hyperpneumatic or hyper-something. lol.

lol...thats exactly why I wont go into it. Always really rigid opinions. Almost like say PC is better than a MAC. The outcome is never good. But like I said I was just giving my opinion to the topic starter....which is what he asked.

I agree I wouldn't run the Hyper (pieces of garbage) in anything I ever wanted to modify or actualy had to buy pistons for. maybe somebody told you that when they only had hyper pistons to sell you.
Anyhow nice start to a good mustang. Yank all that CFI stuff out as fast as you can and upgrade it or just make a race car out of it. Don't waste your time trying to modify it. The CFI doesn't respond to mods very well you will always have drivability problems with it.
