Actually, there were a few hundred 2000 Cobras made. They were shipped to Australia tho, and not available in the US. You can also buy a 2000 Cobra crate motor from Ford Racing.

They were 1999 Models shipped to OZ and then converted to RHD. Due to the time to ship and convert them, they were sold as 2000 models, but in effect they are really 99 Vin production.

Well whatever VIN they had, they were still labeled as a 2000 Cobra, and as for the young individual selling a '2000 Cobra Motor' in his 96, it would have been plausible, since it was possible to buy a 2000 crate motor, even tho that is clearly a GT engine. That's all I'm saying.
