Wow 300k for a wedding is ridiculous.
On a side not I am East Indian. When someone in our culture gets married the weddings are huge, were talking 500+ people at a wedding if the people in getting married are well know in the community. The wedding is followed up by huge reception, we're talking in the range of 500 to 1000 people. I have been to many Indian receptions that cost over 100k.

I'm Chinese and my wedding was considered small with 240 people. The Chinese culture is just like that.. big weddings and big receptions.

500+? Goddamn! lol And sadly enough. The bride and groom don't know more than half. lol And those people expect you to know them.

That is EXACTLY what happened to me.. I knew about 20% of the people and did not even get to eat. The banquet costs us $25K and we ended up eating Taco Bell later that night

I was married last year and I capped the guest list to 100 people. If both the wife and I didn't know you, you weren't invited. There were 4-5 people that were friends of her Mothers but that was it.
