Let's see, Costa Rican, African American and White.
My mom is Costa Rican and White and my dad is African American.
However I was born in San Francisco.
I always get that I either look latin, or middle eastern.

but you know one thing that is interesting is a lot of people have said they are american. what is the american race?
it kind of like my situation with pakistan. when asked were i am from i say thier and people think that pakistani is my race but pakistan has only been a counrty for 61 years that isnt enough to create a race of people and the contry itself is a large mixture of arab, persian, & turkish immigrants & the orginal tribes of the area. my familly is not all of those races we are prodminatly punjabi(tribe) & arab. so knowing all that should i describe myself as pakistani and now that i live here go one further and say pakistani american? pakistani american does not really define my roots or were my familly really comes from and it deinity does not define me as a person. the american in that statement is a better definition then anything since i was raised here and almost all my familly is here.
so back to my orginal question what is the american race? and i think the answer to that question is everyone who lives in america. i personally think its better not to label ourselves but if we must choose its better to label yourself to were you are in life geographywise then were you have been.
i think us immigrants should not introduce ourselfs as mexican american, pakistani american, african american, arab american but rather american mexican, american pakistani, american afican, american arab.
we should remember we are the reason this counrty is great and we should be proud to carry the term american.
and to anyone who thinks immigrants did not make this counrty great remeber that unless you are native american you are a product of immigration also!
