Just looking into some specs for a 351w build. At no overbore on a 351 block, what displacement can I achieve with the right stroker kit? Main goal is to keep a healthy amount of piston skirt in the bore. Any recommendations for kit manufacturer as well would be a great help. A cast crank with forged h beams and I'm shooting for a fast revving torque motor that will run on pump. Keeping it efi is the goal.

You are asking for two different things out of a 351w.
Long stroke for the torque and short stroke kit for the revs. All depends how high of an rpm how much power you are looking to put down. Also if it's gonna have a power adder. [ 2016-05-31, 01:24 PM: Message edited by: Fostang ]

What heads do you have or what budget do you have for heads? I'd start there before trying to figure out anything else. You're going to need good flowing heads if you want to run any sort of stroked 351. [ 2016-05-31, 01:37 PM: Message edited by: wilit ]

Afr 205's would be something I'd be interested in. Custom cam by Ed Curtis, maybe a systemax set up

I don't want high revs if that's what you mean but to spin it fast if I have to give that up for torque I will. As long as half the piston isn't hanging down out of the bore I'm happy

My combo: Coast high performance scat 408 stroker kit 11.1 compression Trick flow r series intake with 90mm tb opening intake powerband ( 2500 to 6800 on a 408w) Trick flow 11R 190cc heads..flow same as afr 205cc but are $400 cheaper Custom FTI cam .630 lift with scorpion 1.65 rockers (2500 to 6400 rpm ) Accufab 90mm throttle body Anderson 4 inch power pipe Bbk shorties
Haven't dynotuned yet but should be around 420 to 460rwhp after tune, car is very street able, might spray it down the road. [ 2016-05-31, 06:03 PM: Message edited by: ed650 ]

See now that sounds around what I'm looking to do. And I may have to look into the 11r heads I've seen them 4 times today. As long as they don't require a crazy piston I'll consider them

Nice was told by many that 11 compression wouldn't be good with 91

9.2 dart block .20 over. 354ci, 8.5:1 comp, Custom blower cam shaft, Old ass West King ported Canfield heads, port matched Super vic intake, and Kooks 1 7/8s headers. on 91 it made 430whp, runs 10.5s on motor, and on the kit has been 9.40.
