Has anyone ever installed a cam one tooth off and what were the symptoms??

what problems are you having? did you install it lining up with the arrow on the crankshaft facing up?

If you're installing a cam, there is no excuse for not properly degreeing it in. Lining it up "dot to dot" and expecting it to be correct can leave power on the table.
It seems, however, that you are in a whole other world of trouble...

He found the problem. Had nothing to do with cam. After he did his 5spd swap he ddnt repin o2 harness so his car was runnin bad. Problem solved
