To many times they are ignored or forgotten and they will allow the engine to overheat. What we do is use a seperate temp sender in one of the heater hoses of a temperature of your choice and wire it in.<br /><br />Bellow is a temp sender in my TC. The fans are factory set to come on @ 230* Way to high for my liking especially on a TURBO CAR. So i wired in this sender 180* and made a custom fitting so it looks factory. <br /><br />Made this setup and wired it in to the IRCM. The two fans come on in the low speed mode when this happens, and then turn off automatically when the temp drops a few degrees below the set temp. <br /><br />I also wired a manual switch to turn the fans on high mode when I want/need extra cooling.
